To end off the second day of Ottawa Bluesfest coverage. Since I didn’t want to see LMFAO over at the main stage. Decided to check out Paul Oakenfold at the Electro Stage. There was a great turnout for him.
Over at the Ottawa Bluesfest Main Stage. I finally got to see Diplo‘s set. It was part of the Full Flex Express Tour. Apparently, Diplo was suppose to play at 6:30pm. But he played around 5:50pm-ish. So a friend and I decided to go into the crowds.
Over at the Main Stage during Ottawa Bluesfest. The headliner for the night was Tiësto. The Dutch DJ literally bought the house down with his electronica and dance music. I will make a separate post on the show I went on June 10, 2011. At Mavericks, Junior Boys was the headliner. But I mostly went to see the openers. One of them was Huren from Hamilton. Not to be confused with Huron who is from Hamilton too.
For those who missed out this show at Cafe Dekcuf on April 13, 2011. It was a fun dance party for a Wednesday night in Ottawa. Playing at the show were: Gobble Gobble Rich Aucoin The Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt!
Dan Snaith (aka Caribou) doesn’t seem to be taking a break in 2011. Wasn’t aware that he has started a new dance music project under the moniker Daphni. With Four Tet they released a split 12″ single. Daphni is more on the electronica dance side than we are used to with Caribou. I actually like …
