The Big Sleep – Nature Experiments [Review]

I wasn’t familiar with The Big Sleep.
But I was curious to listen to their third album “Nature Experiments” (French Kiss Records) which drops on January 31, 2012.
From what I read, they are a band from Brooklyn, New York.
The band consist of:

  • Sonya Balchandani (bass/vocals)
  • Danny Barria (guitar/vocals)
  • Gabe Rhodes (drums)

If you are into the indie progressive rock, then you should check them out.
I was blown away listening to the beginning track #1.
A upbeat and intense progressive track sung by Danny.
A very solid album which get you rocking.
Here is a quote on the album.
“The Big Sleep have been on hiatus for a while, but with their return of Nature Experiments, we know their break was time well spent.
Danny Barria and Sonya Balchandani know what they’re doing. Balchandani’s voice is incredible — at some points she’s polished and sweet and other times completely rugged, and layered with Barria’s vocals and guitar riffs, it makes for a perfect combination.
It’s been a while since we heard from these two; I’m glad they are back.”
