Cobra Cover Art
For those that have no plans on March 10th or can’t get into the Genie Awards or Karkwa/Plants & Animals.
Looking for something that is more of a East Coast indie folk rock flavor.
Have no fear, come to Raw Sugar Cafe to see The North Lakes with Racoon Bandit and Ottawa’s(?) own and favorite to the venue Andy Swan play live. [Facebook event]

The band touring most of March in support of their latest album, Cobra (which you can get on their Bandcamp site).

Here is a info on them.
Taking inspiration from ’60s garage-rock and a reinterpretation of the Chicago blues, The North Lakes are a group of bold youths with swaggering voices based out of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
The band has performed as direct support of acts such as Cuff The Duke, Matt Mays, The Novaks, Said The Whale, Apollo Ghosts, Paper Lions, and Boxer The Horse.

Since I am from Ottawa.
You should check out this Ottawa theme song called “Cold Ottawa Wind“.
