TVOD – Party Time [Streaming]

Brooklyn’s TVOD have unleashed their debut album Party Time via Mothland, a loud and gnarly post-punk affair that lives up to its name.
Equal parts chaos and catharsis, Party Time channels the raucous spirit of punk while injecting it with sleazy synths, shout-along choruses, and an unapologetically fun energy.

About the album by TVOD:
TVOD encapsulates everything they’re about—having a good time, whether or not you’re along for the ride.
“Party Time” channels an eerie energy, laced with synths reminiscent of late ’70s horror soundtracks.
The band chants “What time is it?” only for a chorus to answer with a rebellious, full-throated “Party time!” It’s an anthem of release, inviting listeners to shed their inhibitions, get wild, and revel in playful defiance.

“We had a bunch of friends come over to do backup vocals on ‘Party Time,’” TVOD shares.
“We recorded ourselves getting drunk in the studio and had producers Félix and Sam record themselves talking shit about us in French for the end of the song.”

True to the album’s name, Party Time is as exhilarating and unruly as it is introspective and emotionally raw.
Beneath the danceable chaos lie lyrics about drinking away problems and using partying as a coping mechanism.
TVOD explains, “The album has a lot of chaotic feelings of melancholy, nostalgia, longing, pain, euphoria, and self-reflection.
In short, it’s hangxiety-induced punk to dance or mosh to.”
