While the pandemic put a stop on Andy Shauf‘s promoting 2020’s The Neon Skyline.
A track that was only on Amazon Music in April is finally available on all streaming services (November 17, 2020).
I have to say this is the Andy Shauf I love hearing.
The gentler, emotional and intimate lo-fi pop-folk sound.
While it was a demo, sounded like it was recorded either from Bearer of Bad News and The Party.
About the song:
‘You Slipped Away’ was an early demo during The Neon Skyline sessions, but as the album storyline evolved, this song lost its place in the narrative,” Shauf explained.
“I’d forgotten about it until fairly recently, and realized it sort of worked on its own.”
