Basia Bulat and Evening Hymns @ NAC Theatre

It was a full house at the NAC Theatre on March 10th with Basia Bulat and Evening Hymns.
You can say it was déjà vu in a wonderful way, since both performed the same venue four years ago.

It was a brilliant performance Basia Bulat did at the theatre.
She has had a busy 2016 promoting Good Advice which was short-listed for the Polaris Music Prize.
Gracious and talented as always performing a slew of songs mostly from the current album and the third album Tall Tall Shadow plus one or two songs on the first two albums.
There was one new song Basia previewed and it was absolutely nice!
Can’t believe it has been 10 years since her first album Oh My Darling was released and it finally came out on vinyl.
She didn’t expect the attention she has received 10 years later.
Basia added it was great to come back to Ottawa and perform at this lovely spot.

Opening up for Basia Bulat was Evening Hymns who performed a wonderful and emotional solo set.
Played a few tracks from Quiet Energies which sounds so great stripped down.
Did a lovely Nina Simone cover and did some silly bantering.
I was glad he ended off with Dead Deer which is my favorite to hear!
