Catriona Sturton – BumbleBee [Review]

CatrionaSturton-BumbleBee
I’ve been meaning to write this review when the album came out in January.
Catriona Sturton is truly one of these unique, nice and lovely artist to come around in the Ottawa.
She is one of these artist you just can’t never get mad and truly be a friend when meeting in person.
It wasn’t until 2015 that she finally released her long awaited debut album called BumbleeBee.
The album is mix of heavy harmonica blues to folk pop music.
She does a great cover of I Put A Spell On You and Black Is The Colour and spins it into a bluesy style.
Songs like Tea For Two just pulls your emotions when she sings the words “Sorry”.
To harmonica blues in Heavy Weather and BumbleBee where you feel like you are in the wild west.
Very happy that she ends the album off with the poppy track, Wheel Of Fortune which is like a love letter to Ottawa and Catriona’s favorite band The White Wires.
This is a great album by a talented musician!
