Lovers of electronica dance trip-hop music.
It took me a long time to finally write about Vancouver’s Data Romance.
A up and coming band that people should check out and is getting alot of buzz.
Data Romance consist of just Ajay Bhattacharyya and Amy Kirkpatrick.
I was lucky to interview them in June at NXNE, they are really nice people.
So far they just released a self-titled EP.
Only four tracks but the production value is amazing to listen to.
Just think Crystal Castles but without the attitude and more sleek and class.
The Deep has been getting alot of video play on Much.

The Deep is an intense electronica pop track
Bullets is a catchy dance track and somewhat reminds of me of the UK-Garage two-step dance genre.
Arms and Street Lights has that catchy lyrics mixed with a electronic trance flavour.
Loving the EP and can’t wait whenever they are done with a full-length album.

Check out the video for The Deep.
The EP is available on iTunes or here.
I almost fell on the floor that Data Romance will make their first Ottawa show on October 16, 2011 at Raw Sugar Cafe.
Don’t forget to check them out live wherever they will be playing across Canada.
