Headlining Saturday night was Alvvays. With their catchy jangle pop music, the Ottawa audience simply fell in love. I was glad that they started off with Atop a Cake then followed by Next of Kin. The band previewed some new materials for an upcoming album which won’t come out until 2017.Nap Eyes was the second band to perform. A band I was excited for because earlier this year they released their second album Thought Rock Fish Scale to glowing reviews. The band performed a nice classic mellow rock set. Don’t forget to see them at Arboretum Festival in August.Starting off was Ottawa’s Pony Girl. The six-piece act performed a lovely experimental art pop music. Performing tracks from their current album Foreign Life.
