Giant Hand – Starting As People [EP Review]

For those who check out this site.
Giant Hand (aka Kirk Ramsay) has been featured various times and has been a fixture on the Ottawa music scene.
Opening up for Handsome Furs, Evening Hymns, Ohbijou, The Acorn and Parlovr.
Come March 15th, he will drop the long awaited EP in CD form and on iTunes.
I really like the cover too.

The EP is six tracks.
Gone are the one bedroom lo-fi recordings and more of the studio based sound.
With the help of Rolf Klausener of the Acorn on the first four tracks and Kirk (himself) on the last two tracks.
He has been developing and improving his music abilities as a singer/songwriter.

With the reworking of Starting As People (II).
It has more of a kick and life than on the Coming Home version.

All the tracks on the EP is step up from before and great to listen to.
Moving forward as a truly talented musician.

This EP is somewhat of a preview on what to expect on the full-length (Whenever that will happen?).

Best tracks:

Don’t forget to see him and show your support at Raw Sugar Cafe on March 18th. [Facebook event]
