I always wondered what happened to Montreal/New York’s Flotilla?
Last time I saw them was two years ago at Raw Sugar Cafe.
Found out they changed their name to Plumes.
Plumes consist of:
- Veronica Charnley
- Geof Holbrook
- Eveline Gregoire
Looks like the drummer left, which could be on the name change or wanted to change in a different direction.
Let’s say they are using full orchestra on this song called “Hero and Leander” taken from the upcoming album.
I was like blown away listening to it.
The song is 8 minutes but it is filled with vocals and classical orchestra and based on the Greek myth of Hero and Leander.
Think of it as what if Bjork made music using a full orchestra (which I think she has done).
Words can’t explain listening to this.
Makes me say, why can’t music be like this?
They are very daring in trying to do this kind of music.
