Anyone loving the Christmas season?
If you are in the holiday spirit, Canadian indie style.
You should check out Ho! Ho! Ho! Canada Deux from Oh! Canada (aka The Line of Best Fit).
Its their second compilation and features a slew of great Canadian talent.
From the likes of Great Lake Swimmers, The Zolas, Basia Bulat, Leif Vollebekk, The Russian Futurists, Evening Hymns, Snailhouse and many more.
Some of them are original and traditional.
Most of the songs must have been release and some not release one being the Basia Bulat track.
Also they are separate into two different compilations.
One is which is more of rocking fun side. That you want to go outside and play in the snow.
Two is In which is more on the softer side. That you want to stay and wrap yourself in a blanket drinking hot chocolate.
My favorite ones:
- The Mountains and The Trees – My Favorite Sweater (Happy Holidays)
- Great Lake Swimmers – Gonna Make It Through The Year
- The Zolas – Snow
- Sean Nicholas Savage – Snowflake
- Kashka (Kat Burns of Forest City Lovers) – Picture Books In Winter
- Leif Vollebekk – I’ll Be Home For Christmas
- Evening Hymns – Just Like Christmas
- Steven McKay – Sounds Like Christmas
- The Wilderness of Manitoba – We Three Kings
- Basia Bulat – You Are A Gift
- In-Flight Safety – Fairytales of New York
This is a great compilation of nice holiday tunes.
