Montreal pianist-composer-performer Jean-Michel Blais played to a sold out show at the National Arts Centre Babs Apser Theatre on October 20, 2022.
This was my second time seeing him play at the NAC and there was no way I would want to miss this.
Promoting the 2022 album aubades which come out in February.
This was a beautiful and wonderful show since he was accompanied by three members who were:
Lorraine Gautier on cello
Nadia Monczak on violin
Benjamin Deschamps on saxphone and flute
Since his fanbase who attended was mostly Francophone, most of the banter he did was mostly in French and I didn’t understand what he was saying.
But I was there mostly for the beautiful music from aubades and maybe some from dans ma main and II.
Definitely one of the best shows of 2022!
Also a show where I didn’t need to wear earplugs 😛
