The first night of NXNE 2012, I headed up to the Drake Hotel Underground.
It was part of the Exclaim.ca showcase.
The first band was Toronto’s Beliefs.
I wasn’t familiar with their music until I found out that Pat McCormack (ex-Arietta and plays with Neon Windbreaker) was in the band.
Their set was pretty much dream-rock and shoegaze.
Really enjoyed their set.
They were a nice start for what would come to be a exciting showcase.
