Here are some photos I forgot to show on this site.
Who were amazing during the Ottawa Jazz Festival.
Also check out this Youtube clip.
I am started to appreciate the world of jazz for now.
Amazed by the musicians and how they play their instruments.
Friday night:
Started off with Jane Bunnett w/ Grupo Desandann.
It was a world jazz set.

The gospel singers was fun to listen to.
Kind of Blue was second.
Amazing jazzy set.

SMV was the headliner for Friday night.
They blew everyone away with their style of bassist.
Got people off their lawn chairs and did their magic.
I liked they did a small tribute to Michael Jackson.

Saturday night:
Besides Al Green who rocked the festival and I don’t think anyone else can top him for the rest of the festival.
The first act was the Steve Koven Trio who was introduced by Amanda Putz.
The set is going to be played on CBC Radio 2’s Canada Live.
Forgot the date but it was a nice cool set.

The second act was Trombone Shorty.
He definitely funked it up.
Got people off their lawn chairs.
Loved he did his tribute to Michael Jackson. He did some of his dance moves which was nice to see.

Totally blew me away and dance my butt off.
Sunday night:
With the horrible weather and kept raining in certain parts.
There were only two acts playing.
First one was the Dave Murdo Jazz Orchestra band.
I felt somehow bored probably that the speakers were very low.
Or that being on a Sunday.
I felt like I was watching something on PBS.

The headliner was Gary Burton Quartet Revisited with Pat Metheny.
I didn’t really know that much of this act.
But I did like the Gary Burton doing the xylophone.

I left early because it started to rain like crazy.
But I did try to get some shots.
That is so far from Jazz Festival.
