Photos & Videos of 4in1 Acoustic Sessions in a Park #1 [May 6, 2012]

Awhile ago, I posted about doing a live park session in the Ottawa area. (Link is here)
Well, I put my word on it and got the first session going on May 6, 2012.
Today the weather was really great for this.
This time the session took place at Strathcona Park.
Playing at the first session were:
• Heavy Bedroom

• Jonathan Becker

• Her Harbour

• Aardwolf


In case you were wondering, 4in1 means four different acts in one place.
I was kind of nervous and stressing out because I never done this before and wasn’t unaware of what kind of turn out it would be.
There was a decent turnout for the first session.

The first act to go on was Heavy Bedroom.
This was the first time they would go acoustic considering their music is considering loud.
The band did a three song set.
They were accompanied by Pascal of hotshotcasino on drums.
They did a great job going acoustic.

Second was Jonathan Becker.
He was accompanied by Laura on the accordion.
It was a nice acoustic folky-rock set.
Like the accordion since it added more dimension to the music.
Did a shameless plug on the upcoming show at Raw Sugar Cafe on June 1, 2012.

Third was Her Harbour.
It was mostly music done by Gabrielle Giguere.
Her set was good.
Nice blend of indie folk and contemporary pop music.
Love that autoharp she played.

Lastly it was Aardwolf.
They kind of liven up their acoustic set.
Their music was a mix of indie rock and alterna-pop.
It was a pretty nice set.

The video footage for session #1 should be up by the end of the week.
Thanks to the Indefinite Project in helping out on filming this.

Overall it was great first session.
Can’t wait for the next ones.
