After seeing Stars and Diamond Rings set at La Tulipe during Pop Montreal.
I was hoping to catch Wild Nothing at Il Motore but I was told that it was sold out and very hard to get in.
With better judgement I decided to hit up Brasserie Beaubien for Fixture Record‘s showcase.
I got there just in time to see Sheer Agony play.
This was my first time seeing them since half the members used to play in the band called “Play Guitar”.
Their set was more of a indie garage rock pop sound.
I wasn’t aware that it was the last show this year since Christian is busy globetrotting until December.
So expect new material *or not* in 2013.
Definitely a great set!
Then I got to see Chevalier Avant Garde.
I was looking forward to their set because of some buzz that is coming out from that label and from the Montreal music scene itself.
They are a Montreal-based duo of European ex-pats, they played a indie experimental electronica set.
Felt like a hazy swaying dancing feel to their music.
Kind of hard to dance around since the venue was small.
But still an amazing set to see that night!
Here are the rest of the photos.
