News came out today of the sudden passing of The Mark Inside‘s Chris Levoir.
The news was shocking, sad and broke my heart.
I only got to see the band live in Ottawa twice. (June 24, 2011 & October 28, 2011)
They were pretty a loud energetic band and were nice to chat with.
But were great to photograph.

RIP Chris Levoir. 1981-2013. Way too soon. I had a laugh making this, as did he… http://t.co/2kUWLAio7U

Here is a story about Chris.
When I first attended to CMW in 2012.
I happened to take the TTC to get to a venue.
I noticed Chris and I would have thought he wouldn’t recognize me.
All of a sudden he just went up to me and said if I was from Ottawa.
He was going to the same way as I was going and we just had a nice chat for about 20 minutes.
Told me how he was going to be busy doing sound at the Great Hall during the festival.
Mentioning on the finishing process on their album.
How the music scene was like in Toronto.
Definitely a great chat I had with him.
I saw him when I went to some shows at The Great Hall for NXNE, Paperbag Records 10th Anniversary party and CMW 2013.

Have a listen to the interview I did with the band on June 24, 2011.
