When I first heard the whole album being played on BBC 6 Music’s Gilles Peterson’s show, my mind and ears were instantly captivated by what I was hearing.
Today, the mysterious British band Sault released their third album, Untitled (Black Is), out now on Forever Living Originals.
With everything happening in the world right now (especially in America), this album couldn’t feel more timely. It’s a stunning blend of R&B, funk, soul, hip-hop and retro grooves, all wrapped around a powerful and urgent message.
There’s so much emotion packed into these tracks—it will make you angry, reflective and deeply aware.
Without question, one of the most important and relevant albums of 2020!
