Despite a snowy Friday night, people still braved the weather for a wonderful album release show celebrating Nick Schofield’s Blue Hour, alongside the very first Ottawa appearance from Montreal’s Sean Nicholas Savage.
The show took place at Club SAW and was presented by First Crush Promotion and Congrego.

Nick Schofield opened the evening, performing material from his new album Blue Hour.
He was accompanied by Orchidae on synths and keyboards, and Scott Bevins (aka No Cosmos) on saxophone.
Together, the trio delivered a warm, immersive ambient jazz set that gently eased the room into the night.

Closing out the show was Sean Nicholas Savage, marking his long-overdue Ottawa debut — yes, his first time playing the city.
Having last seen him at Pop Montréal in 2011 and NXNE in 2013, it was a real treat to catch him again.
His set leaned into a unique mix of ’80s-inspired synth-pop and romantic, ballad-style songs, filled with nostalgia and charm.

Overall, it was an enjoyable and memorable night of music.
