The Only Day I Was At Ottawa Bluesfest [July 9, 2014]

Please forgive me if this will be a horrible written review.
So bear with me if there is no photos and lots of mistakes. 😛

This is probably the only time I will write something about this year’s 20th edition of Ottawa Bluesfest.
Thank you CHUO FM for getting me a free ticket (Don’t forget to listen to my show on Mondays from 3-5pm).
While getting a media pass for this is like pulling teeth but enough with the ranting.

Here are my highlights:
Tyler, The Creator – My first time checking out the LA hip-hop/rapper. Lots of f-bombs and a-bombs that was directed to the crowds.
But definitely had his fans singing, waving their hands, dancing and even small mosh pit.
Even Tyler told the audience to hold off with the phones and just enjoy the music.
Someone threw bacon on the stage and he threw it back and his alligator was lost in the crowd.

No BS! Brass Band from Richmond Virgina who played at the River Stage definitely impressed with their big brass band/New Orleans style jazz/soul music

Bombino who played at the Blacksheep Inn stage got into the rock, blues and World music going on.
Which had me dancing to their music

Lastly it was the Killers from Las Vegas who was the headliner for the night!
I was ecstatic when they began with Mr. Brightside.
They mostly played the classics like Somebody Told Me, Human, Smile Like You Mean It and Read My Mind.
Wasn’t familiar with the newer materials.
Favorite concerts and nearly losing my voice by singing out loud!
Definitely one of the best nights and most crowded at Bluesfest.
