Side by Side Weekend 2022 doesn’t happen until next weekend.
But they did their pre-fest showcase at House of Targ on July 22, 2022.
All I can say it was a great night and been so long since I have last seen these bands perform live.
Sadly I didn’t get to see Outtacontroller since I was getting very tired.
Kicking off was Ottawa’s Heavy Bedroom with their moody fuzzy alterna-rock music.
Second was Vancouver’s Apollo Ghosts and they put on a great jangly rock set. Kind of reminded me of a vibrant The Smiths vibe.
The band was plugging their current album Pink Tiger which they had limited copies and sold out quickly.
Then I caught Toronto/Vancouver’s Tough Age which their alterna-punk pop music.
Performing a mix from their current album Which Way Am I? and probably from Shame too.
