Ottawa artist Townes dropped a new track called Maury Povich.
Third single of 2021 is an upbeat energetic indie synth-pop tune.
About the track:
The song tells the story of a man who’s searching for love, but is a social outcast who sits on the couch and watches The Maury Show all day. These lyrics are presented with an energetic instrumental to create a song which can only be described as an undeniable banger.
Featuring modern production, this release continues to develop Townes’ sound by moving him further away from his original bedroom pop sound. This song is yet another in a series of singles Townes has called the “Confetti Era”. Songs with high en ergy to mark the imminent return of live music.
