I spent my Canada Day at Gabba Hey this year!
Originally Mac DeMarco was suppose to play but had to cancel due to “persona issues”.
The show went on anyways with a last minute addition which I was happy.
Playing at the show:
• U.S. Girls
• Boyhood
• Grime Kings
Hadn’t seen her since last year where she previewed tracks from the current album GEM (Meg spelled backwards).
This time it was just a solo set.
Didn’t play much from GEM but it was great hearing “The Island Song”.
Love the experimental lo-fi tape pop rock music she played.
I sort of miss that stuff.
Totally rocked it out loud big time!
I was happy enough that she played in Ottawa this year!
