Young Galaxy was the second act to play at Ritual on December 3, 2011.
I was very excited to see them play.
Last time they were in Ottawa was on March 12, 2011.
I must say Catherine was in fine form considering she had a baby this year.
The band has had a great year since the release of Shapeshifting.
This time they didn’t have the visual lights, it was just a straight up set.
They started with “Blown Minded”, which I was just wowed to hear!
Next was “Long Live the Fallen World” from their previous album “Invisible Republic”, which I was surprised to hear.
After that was “Peripheral Visionaries”, and I couldn’t help but sing out loud.
I didn’t get to stay long because I had to head to another venue, but hearing those first four songs was worth it, though it would have been nice to hear “We Have Everything” and “Cover Your Tracks” (my favorite track of 2011 that you can do that summer beach dance groove to).
Also – Steve, love the t-shirt! “Ouch. 41% Yeah. 59%”
