After the fun insanity of Rich Aucoin at the Garrison. Happen to skip out the “secret guest” which happened to be The Luyas. I took the taxi to Sneaky Dee’s to see Sheezer. Not to my knowledge was totally packed. So I had to wait in line. I was so anxious and wanted to support …
Month: June 2011
I decided to hit up the Garrison during NXNE on a Friday night. It was part of Osheaga Presents showcase. The bill had Montreal acts except for one which was Rich Aucoin. I guess he apparently made a splash at last year’s festival.
After Diamond Rings I headed off to the Kapisanan Phillipine Cultural Centre. It was a unofficial NXNE kind of event. I was there to kill some time before heading to the Garrison and of course see Rich Aucoin play in this small venue. Daps All Ages, Whippersnapper Gallery and Snakes + Ladders help made this …
Seemed to be a poppy dance night at Yonge Dundas Square for NXNE. I was there just to see Diamond Rings. Missed out on Stars and Land Of Talk, both who I truly love but will see them later in the future! Diamond Rings is truly on a high this year. Surprising that his fanbase …

I was surprised to find out that Ajay knew who I was. He played drums with The Zolas who I last saw them last year (at the same time) when they …
You can say it was bands and artist overload at the Hyatt Regency Hotel or NXNE Central. The first interview on June 17, 2011 was Toronto’s New Country Rehab. The band did a one or two song set for AUX TV. Afterwards I got a chance to interview the members of New Country Rehab. Have …
The beginning of June 17, 2011 I decided to hit up Global Village Backpackers for Kelp Records and The Line of Best Fit‘s NXNE BBQ. Part of the East Meats West BBQ. I was there for the free food of course. But I wanted to check out The Elwins who were playing. I got there when …
