May 14th was the second night of Kelp 16 at the Mayfair Theatre.
Playing there was Leif Vollebekk, Andrew Vincent and Bill Fox.
Another night of great music at the Mayfair Theatre.
Saturday is going to be the last night of the Kelp 16 festivities.
Leif Vollebekk started the show.
As you know as always, he is covered alot in this site.
He was amazing live everytime.
He didn’t have his backing band but Leif playing at the Mayfair Theatre was brilliant.
Sucks he didn’t play 1921.

Andrew Vincent, I had to say was the most entertaining.

I rarely get a chance to see him play a whole set live in Ottawa.
The first song he did was sort like karaoking.
Looked like he could have done comedy stand up.
Also his set felt more like what Kelp represents.
He got Mike Dube (hilotrons) on the vibraphone, Jim Bryson on the vibraphone and piano and Andy Swan on guitar.
He also go Jenny Omnichord and Shane Chord to back Andrew on some songs.
There was a unique and surprise at the end of the set.
Andrew was rapping!! That was some mad talent.

Totally enjoyed Andrew’s set.
Bill fox I didn’t stick around much.
It was late and had to catch my bus.
Did snap some shots before I left.

Overall night two of Kelp 16 was great.
Can’t wait for the Saturday events.
