2014 has been a great year for Alvvays.
Their debut self-titled album has been making the waves with critics and fans with their catchy “jangle” pop music.
I for one really love the album and was glad to find out that they finally dropped the music video for “Next of Kin”.
The music video has that 1980s vibe with the pastel colors and cool artsy look.
Sort of reminds me of Enya’s Orinico Flow.
I always wondered if the song is based on a real-life story?

Amazing connecting this to Orinico Flow, totally right on! Also A-Ha’s Take On Me (of course) and Lena Platonos’ Moving House come to mind. Alvvays solid stuff from this band <3
