Claude Munson, Father Christmas and Trails @ The Record Centre [August 23, 2016]

The Record Centre held a nice Tuesday day show.
There was one band I hadn’t seen before and the two acts I have already seen live various of times.
Performing at the store was Claude Munson, Father Christmas and Trails.

Claude Munson @ The Record Centre
Having played just last Tuesday. Claude Munson had a full band backing him up. It was a nice loud set.
Father Christmas @ The Record Centre
Toronto’s Father Christmas was the second band to play. This was my first time and they were great with their indie pop music. They made a quick stop in Ottawa before heading to Montreal for a show. Like the sounds of the brass/trumpets which kind of reminds me of Beirut or Dan Mangan’s Robots with the horn section in the song. A band to check out!

Trails @ The Record Centre
Starting off the show was Trails. Saw her last week at Arboretum Festival 2016 opening up for Tim Hecker. Nice intimate acoustic folk pop music.
