Coleman Hell dropped the single called Real Me a few days.
An intimate electro-R&B and pop tune with a raw personal lyrics and serious message.
About the song:
Coleman wrote “real me,” in which he hadn’t gone outside in months.
It was a particularly low point in his life when he began to focus on his mental health for the first time. Songwriting became a form of therapy for himself.
At the time of writing, this song felt too personal, which has made it kind of hard to release.
It is scary to put out something so vulnerable, but he has now reached a place where doing so feels okay.
This song is a piece of a mixtape he is gearing up to release next year, called topanga.
It’s a bit of a departure from what Coleman has released in the past, and he is excited for people to hear it.
If you take something away from “real me,” he hopes that it is accepting yourself for who you are, right now.
Coleman kept telling himself that he needed to wait for some magical moment of perfection before he could fully love himself, but he thinks it is important to recognize that you can continue to grow and improve while still loving your current self.
