Since it was Good Friday on April 22, 2011.
With various shows happening that night.
I decided to hit up Zaphod Beeblebrox to see Colin Stetson live.
It’s been awhile since he last played a show in Ottawa.
All I can say was he just blew me away with his music.
The show started off with Helado Negro from Brooklyn.
His set was interesting, just him and some of his electronic gear.
It was an electronica/ambient feel with Latin flavor. Part of me want to say Trip-hop but I will stick with electronica.
I was excited to see his set because he is signed to Ashmatic Kitty run by Mr.Sufjan Stevens himself.
Played tracks from his upcoming album.

Then Colin Stetson was up.
I noticed that he is wearing the t-shirt from the promo photos.
He just did his work with his Bass Saxophone.
It was captivating, intense and explosion in my ears kind of set!
Played mostly from the current album Judges.
It was a great show to be at a “Good Friday” night.
