No! Drone is not a mechanical robot or those flying cameras that are all the rage.
Drone is a minimalist musical genre that emphasizes the use of sustained or repeated sounds, notes, or tone-clusters.
With that Weird Canada decided to do a National Drone Day which is in it’s second year.

This year’s edition is far bigger with it’s line-up than the first one.
Here is a list of acts that I caught at House of Common:
The Acorn

Bosveld

Herons Wake

Final Fall

Mikatron

Leonard Youngfoot

Meat,Candy,Cars

System57

RAAS

Doomsquad with Debaser

Theaternia, Hard Science and Philippe Charbonneau

Stephane Arthur Kiss

B+

Matt Morel

Jared Epp

Carbon Hex

While Drone can be very subjective from loud, noisy, ambient and singing.
This was the best Drone Day in it’s second year.
Can’t wait for the third year.
