Elisapie performed to a sold out crowd at the NAC Azrieli Studio, showcasing her unique blend of traditional Inuit throat singing and contemporary pop music.
Her setlist included tracks from the covers album Inuktitut that included classic rock and pop songs of 60s-90s which she sang in her mother tongue.
Having seen her last fall at FME, I didn’t get to stay for the show because it was too crowded, hot and other reasons I don’t want to get into.
This time I got to see the entire show and Elisapie’s energy even got people up and standing during the more energetic songs despite the sit-down setting.
Lovely hearing her versions of Heart of Glass, Time After Timer, Dreams and Hey! That’s No Way To Say Goodbye.
