It was the last day of September and with that went to a wonderful show at Pressed.
Performing at the show was Emilie & Ogden and Flying Hórses.
Ottawa’s Flying Hórses was the first band to perform. It was bittersweet because this was the last Ottawa show because Jade is moving to Iceland and focusing on her music. It was a wonderful lovely set of instrumental music.
It was the first Ottawa show for Emilie Khan who goes by Emilie & Ogden. If you didn’t know Odgen is her harp’s name. It was such a beautiful performance of her angelic voice and harp with luscious layered sound of folky pop. It was a mix of Joanna Newsom and Kate Bush. Played tracks from her debut album 10 000 which drops on October 2nd. Did a lovely cover of Taylor Swift’s Styles. I can see big things happening to her in a few weeks or months.
