This song is in dedication to his grandmother, who essentially raised his brother and himself alongside his mom.
“Sweet Company” revisits the places where she is no longer present, like the kitchen and living room where they spent countless hours.
It took a while to grasp and understand her death. “Sweet Company” helped Aidan accept what happened; a thank you for her presence and everything that she did for them, and acknowledgement that perhaps one day they will see each other again.
