Attended the vernissage for Complicated Heart by Judy Nakagawa at the City Hall Art Gallery on May 28, 2026.
The evening also featured a beautiful contemporary dance performance by Takako Segawa that complemented the exhibition’s themes of fragility, memory, and resilience.
Nakagawa’s sculptural works are both delicate and powerful, inviting viewers to reflect on personal history and emotional endurance through intricate materials and organic forms.
The exhibition runs until August 2, 2026, making it well worth a visit for anyone interested in contemporary art in Ottawa.
