Recently the Toronto-based musician Kelly Sloan dropped the music video for Warm Enough.
The leading single is taken from her upcoming album Insides Out which comes out on November 1, 2023 via Victory Pool Music.

“Somewhere in the never-ending quest to fulfil some ideal notion of happiness, I was told to ‘adjust my expectations’.
I needed to explore this concept further, to reexamine the conditions created by generational trauma and to reassess the notion of the ideal self.
Instead of shedding the weight and erasing the scars, what would it mean to instead consider myself exactly how I should be? Without ignoring the opportunity for growth and change, an acknowledgement of the experiences and conditions that shaped a person is vital to living honestly, rejecting the urge to simply play a made-up role in life instead.
Perhaps we are exactly what we are made of and it is perfectly enough.”
