Today, the Montreal-based band knitting released the music video for “Fold” via Mint Records.
The track delivers a heavy, guitar-driven alt-rock punch, showcasing the band’s raw energy and layered sound.
With its crashing riffs and brooding intensity, “Fold” captures the restless edge that knitting has been carving out in their music, while the visuals amplify the song’s urgency and atmosphere.
About the track by Mischa:
“I wrote this song while I was experiencing a wave of social anxiety.
I wanted to explore the suspicion that others will always be able to see something about you that you yourself cannot see, and that thus their perception will always be more accurate.
Consequently, in this state of mind I find myself turning into a bit of a people-pleaser (something I’m trying to grow out of).
This song is my attempt to shake myself out of this way of thinking, and demonstrate to myself how useless this mindset is.”
The accompanying video directed by Sasha Cay plays on these themes-dropping Mischa into isolated locations, performing the song with an intensity at odds with the urban stillness around them.
