La Sécurité & Mossaï Mossaï @ Minotaure

It had been a while since I last visited Gatineau’s Minotaure, but I couldn’t pass up the chance to catch Montreal’s La Sécurité live.
Their energetic fusion of indie art punk and new wave from their album Stay Safe! had me intrigued, though I could only stay for the first three songs due to another commitment.
Still, those few tracks were enough to show the band’s dynamic presence and tight musicianship, making it clear why they’ve been gaining attention in the indie music scene.
Their performance was full of contagious energy, and I found myself wanting to stick around longer.

Opening the night was France’s Mossaï Mossaï, a band I regrettably missed during FME just a few weeks ago.
This time, however, I got the full experience of their ambient blend of post-punk and psych-rock, all wrapped in a distinctly French sound.
Their set was atmospheric yet intense, with each song building layers of sonic textures that created a captivating live experience.
