Lasse Passage (Review)

Today I got a CD in the mail, which I forgot that I had gotten an e-mail by the artist.
The artist I am talking about is Lasse Passage.
He is a Norwegian musician and released his album called “If you don’t have time to cook, you don’t have time to live”.
Kind of a weird album title.
Since I don’t review alot of European music, I should give this a shot and let people know about this musician.

Listening to this album its a mix acoustic and pop sound.
Very European indie alternative folky pop music.
Reminds me abit of Jose Gonzalez and Damien Rice or those other male singers which I can’t think of at the moment.
Parts of the album there is intimate feel from listening to Far From Love and Song For Paria.
Poppy tracks like What Have I Done and Belize shows his range of the music he can do.
While the last track It’s Not The First is 9 minutes of nature sounds, very experimental.

Favorite tracks:

  • What Have I Done
  • New York
  • Far From Love
  • Song For Paria
  • Belize
  • It’s Not The First

Go and check out this artist.
