Living Hour, Fig Reilly and Ghost Stories @ Black Squirrel Books

Dreamy intimate Sunday night show at Black Squirrel Books with Living Hour, Fig Reilly and Ghost Stories.
Starting off the show was Ghost Stories from Ottawa.
As the description of the event said: “Local punk goes “fake emo” and plays the guitar vol.1″.
First time seeing this act and it was mostly a indie guitar lo-fi instrumental.
Moody and moody at time. 7/10.
Second act was Fig Reilly with some intimate indie bedroom pop music. 7/10.
Then the band I wanted to see the most was Winnipeg’s Living Hour.
Having missed them back in the fall.
The band is promoting their sophomore album Softer Faces via Kanine Records.
Think of them as the Canadian version of Beach House.
Being on a Sunday night, it was a perfect way to get all mellowed out and unwind to their music.
Lovely to sway back and forth to songs like Bottom Step and Water. 8/10.
