Mdou Moctar and Asuquomo @ Queen St. Fare

Debaser and Timekode presented a unique sold out show at Queen St. Fare on July 26, 2019.
Through word of mouth from a friend, I didn’t want to miss this show!
It was Mdou Moctar who is a Tuareg songwriter and musician based in Agadez, Niger.
He was in a 2015 film Akounak Tedalat Taha Tazoughai which is currently being shown at Saw Video’s Knot Project Space which runs until August 20th.
Opening up the show was Ottawa’s Asuquomo (aka Morris Ogbowu).
Got the show started with a Rap and Hip-Hop which warmed up the audience moving and shaking before the big show! 7/10.
When Mdou Moctar got on stage, the place was already packed.
Been awhile that Queen St. Fare literally had a sold out show!
An unbelievable set where Mdou just jammed on the guitar!
Music was insanely hypnotic and got you into it!
This was definitely the best summer show of 2019! 10/10!
