Went to an all ages show at Gabba Hey on the last week of March.
I really wanted to see two of the out of town acts playing this show.
Playing at the show were New Fries, Moss Lime, Baberaham Lincoln and Weed Mom.
Toronto’s New Fries ended the show with their loud experimental punk rock music. Really enjoyed it!Montreal’s Moss Lime was the second last band to play. By that time half the kids were gone. They played their minimalist catchy pop music. Couldn’t hear the vocals well but I was glad to see this band. Still surprised that they haven’t exploded!!Ottawa’s Baberaham Lincoln was the second band. They got everyone rocking to their music. Ended off with their cover of The Cranberries’ Zombie.First band to play was Weed Mom. A totally new, young, up and coming Ottawa act. It was their first show and it was a riot with kids moshing left, right and centre. Their music is a mix of lo-fi garage space-rock pop. There is a hint of Bonnie Doon with the screaming. See them in the coming months at shows.
