Last night, I had the pleasure of attending the Give to Get Art Auction 2026 hosted by the Ottawa Art Gallery.
This annual fundraising event continues to be a cornerstone in supporting local artists, the gallery’s dynamic exhibitions, permanent collection, and essential community programming.
This year also marked the second time I submitted one of my collages to the auction, and I was thrilled to learn that it was purchased.
Being part of an event that actively champions Ottawa’s creative community made the experience especially rewarding.
The evening itself was a vibrant celebration of creativity and connection.
Guests were treated to an impressive and diverse selection of artwork that highlighted the depth of talent within Ottawa’s arts scene.
From bold contemporary works to more intimate and introspective pieces, the exhibition offered something engaging and thought-provoking at every turn.
Beyond the art, the event featured an excellent selection of food and drinks that elevated the sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere of the gallery. It also provided a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow artists, collectors, and supporters of the arts in an energetic and inspiring setting.
Overall, Give to Get Art Auction 2026 was a resounding success — a memorable evening that celebrated artistic expression while reinforcing the importance of supporting the cultural institutions and creators who help shape our city’s identity.
I’m already looking forward to next year’s event and seeing how the Ottawa Art Gallery continues to evolve and inspire the community.
Check out the gallery.
