North Okanagan, British Columbia art-punk quartet Mock Media have dropped their infectious new single “Mock City Rock.”
The track serves as the second single from the band’s upcoming debut release of the same name, arriving July 17, 2026 via Mac DeMarco’s Mac’s Record Label.
“Mock City Rock” is a classic indie rock anthem packed with swaggering guitars, punchy hooks, and a loose garage-rock energy that instantly gets stuck in your head.
The band balances their art-punk edge with an undeniably catchy singalong vibe, making the track feel both chaotic and approachable at the same time. There’s a nostalgic spirit running through the song, echoing influences like MC5, XTC, and The New York Dolls while still sounding uniquely their own.
About the track by Evan Aasen:
“…anthemic rock song that defines the whole band, with our full power, inviting the audience to ‘come alive.’”
