Tim Crabtree who goes by Paper Beat Scissors played a great intimate set at Mercury Lounge on March 9, 2012.
The Halifax musician was promoting his self-titled album.
I thought he would have a backing band but it was just simply him.

The night before he played at Montreal’s Casa del Popolo and had a nine piece band backing him.
They happened to be Mike Mike Feuerstack, Pietro Amato and Leif Vollebekk.

I was glad to finally see him play live.
Having missed him out a few times when he played in Ottawa.
All I have to say that it was an nice intimate set he put on.
Just him and a guitar.
There was one song he sang, it was so emotional the way he sang I was going to cry.

Hopefully next time he returns to Ottawa, he should have a backing band to help him.
Listen to “Rest Your Bones“.
Here are the rest of the photos.
