Here is the info about the exhibition which runs from September 9 to October 14, 2016:
The work comprised in Parse are playful visual poems in the form of minimalist mix media collages.
Small fragments – often the cast offs of other works – have been assembled into glassine envelopes to create enigmatic, intimate compartments or phrases.
The simplicity and limited components of these pieces likens them to the Japanese haiku.
These pieces depict the essence of the haiku form, which is the art of cutting.
The works are displayed in the manner in which a traditional haiku is written – all in one line – resembling the form’s meditative nature.
