Its been awhile since we heard from Montreal’s Patrick Watson.
Ever since the massive Wooden Arms was released in 2009.
I noticed a new single was released on iTunes on September 14th.
The single is called Je te laisserai des mots and its a French track.
From finding out if the single is from an upcoming album.
The single happens to be for a soundtrack from this French movie called Meres et Filles (aka Hidden Diary) which stars Catherine Deneuve.
I think the movie just came out in theatres in Canada (mostly in Quebec).
The song is very lovely, intimate and is all sung in French which is a unique to hear.
Very similar with his collaboration with Cinematic Orchestra‘s “To Build A Home”.
Just Patrick and the piano, has that French like ballad feel.
