I know this might be old news about the long-list for the 2011 Polaris Music Prize.
Since I was at NXNE, why not check out the nominees.
They always have great food at the Drake Hotel.
It was a great way to meet musicians and some industry people there.
It was a surprised to see Dan Snaith of Caribou there.
He was there to announce the ten nominees.
I told him that I thought he was in England since Pick A Piper played the night before at the Garrison and he wasn’t aware of it.
Why was funny to hear.
This year’s Polaris Music Prize has increased from $10,000 to $30,000.
I guess the stakes on who is winning is definitely higher.
Here are the photos from the ceremonies which was hosted by CBC Radio 3‘s Grant Lawrence.
