RBC Ottawa Bluesfest [July 6, 2019]

Heat wave ended on day 3 of RBC Ottawa Bluesfest.
Wasn’t the big Saturday (Wait for next weekend) but it was a fun and enjoy day.
Started off with Ottawa pop-soul musician Renée Landry at the City Stage.
Very talented musician who sang a mix of her own original materials and some covers one being Spice Girl’s Wannabe 7/10.
Caught parts of Children of Indigo at the Barney Danson Theatre.
Wonderful indie folk pop music from this Ottawa band. 7/10.
The talented Rebecca Noelle performed at the Bluesville stage.
A mix of modern soul, jazz and funk pop music. Thanks for giving me a shout out! 8/10.
Finally caught Toronto’s Moscow Apartment at the City Stage.
This time they had a full band and performed an nice indie alterna-pop set. 7/10.
New Zealand band The Beths was at the Videotron stage.
Great indie alternative rock set, kind of reminded me of Alvvays. 7/10.
No Mistakes in Space shoegazed it at the Barney Danson Theatre. 8/10.
The Texas Horns at the Bluesvilles stage. 6/10.
Pup was the band I wanted to see on the first Saturday of Bluesfest.
It’s been awhile since they were in Ottawa and it was like an album release for Morbid Stuff which came out earlier this year.
Still a great set but I felt that the City Stage was too big for them and it wasn’t loud enough. 8/10.
Taking Back Sunday is a band I never heard of.
I was probably living under a rock when they around 20 years ago.
Wasn’t feeling it for their set but the lead singer loved to swing around his mic. 6/10.
Ending the night was Kingston’s The Glorious Songs.
Pretty lively set and great stage presences.
Again I wasn’t feeling it with their music but got alot of nice photos. 7/10.
